La Piratería Tattoo has been on Avinguda del Primat Reig, in Benimaclet, since 2014, and it is probably the best-rated studio in Valencia: a clean 5.0 across 766 reviews. The place is themed from end to end as a pirate ship, detail by detail, and it is one of the first things everyone who has been there mentions.
What sets it apart from the rest, though, is the wall of awards. Its website documents more than fifty convention prizes: first places in Freehand at Spain Tattoo Valencia 2025 and at the Valencia Tattoo Convention 2024, firsts and seconds in Zaragoza 2025, and Ornamental trophies in Naples and Rome in 2024.
Their resident team covers freehand and neo-traditional, ornamental work with international awards in 2024, and some thirty years of accumulated craft in realism and traditional Japanese. Freehand is their signature: they draw straight onto the skin, fitting the piece to your anatomy instead of stamping on a stencil.
For piercing they use implant grade titanium jewellery, which is the correct standard and not every studio respects it. The two drawbacks: Benimaclet is a little out of the way from the historic centre, and the award-winning artists have a waiting list.
